some importants points to note

1- at first in fever stage there is nothing that goes wrong.there is nothing dangerous.except pains and weakness in body.

2-complications starts when the fever is over after 6 days when the situation starts.

3- dengue is not cause of death of people but the quantity of percentage of water in body (hydration) is the main cause od deaths of people.

A-for first 3 days dehydation is problem so give patient  some extra water to drink on 5 and 6 day give him normal quantity of water.

days 7 8 are very important in these days donot give patient more than 2 galss of water a day.other wise the patient will be in danger.

after 7 and 8 days give patient water enough so that the deficiency of water is fulfiled.

4- give medicines TRANSAMIN 500MG AFTER EACH 8 HOURS BREAK IF BLEEDING STARTS 

5-bleeeding happens only on 7 and 8 days 

6-if there is much bleeding more than 1.5 litres of blood supply patient with fresh blood of his blood group.

7-complete blood tarnfusion is recmended than only paltelets.

8- bleeding will stop automatically.

9-take medicines from recognized store like clinix ( all other stores have medicines are effectless far as we have seen)_

10- since this is new disease in Pakistan so try to go to government hospitals tha private they don't have idea how to cure this disease you can verify this thing as many big people died of this disease in big  private hospitals.they have been trained by foreign  teams.

WARNING SIGNS OF DENGUE(WORSE CONDITION)

1-no improvement or worsening of condition after fever.

2-continous vomiting patient is not able to drink

3-severe abdominal pain

4-restlesness   behavior , laziness in body

5-blood in urine or dark color urine.

6- dizziness

7-cold hand and feet

8- decrease in amount of urine

9-fits ( jerks in body)

Dengue patient Care

When fever is present
1-take excessive amount of fluids like fruit juices,milk products, ORS but not simple water itself.
tab Paracetamol ( 2+2+2) three times a day or after 6 hours if fever is severe.


2-wet water sponge or clothe for forehead,arms and legs to decrease temperature if it is too high then paracetamol


3-avoid aspirin ( dispirin ) and any other pain killer drug


4-stop any kind of other medicines if you are taking them and they are not very important like skin medicines ,bone medicines, hair medicines ,supplements etc, but drugs which are necessary like heart medicines or sugar can be taken. avoid excessive medicine use.

after 3 days of fever stop excessive fluids intake.

SIGNS OF DENGUE FEVER

A-fever (3-10)days with two or more of following signs

1-heache

2-muscle pain

3-rash on body

4-bleeding

5-joint pains

6-white blood cells( WBC ) decrease below 5000 cells/mm3 ( 5.0 in reports units)

7-platelets below 1500,000 cells/mm3 (150 on reports units)

8-HCT (5-10) % increase in 24 hours (mentioned in reports)

B-or one of following

1-positive result for  one of following dengue tests IgG or IgM

2-you are feeling sickness and there are some cases of dengue around you in your location.

DENGUE INTRODUTION

>Dengue fever

is an infectious tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles. In a small proportion of cases the disease develops into the life-threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets and blood plasma leakage, or into dengue shock syndrome, where dangerously low blood pressure occurs.

it spreads due to bite of dengue mosquito.
  named Aedes.
(it must be remembered the normal mosquito that bits a dengue patient also becomes dengue mosquito).
so we cannot say that it only spreads due to dengue mosquito it spreads by bites of all mosquitoes so we should take care from every mosquito type.

this type of mosquito can live in both dirty and clean water and can bite anytime.
